Residential

Several residential communities with individual home values from $300,000 to more than $3 million are under development within the city limits. There are currently 2,000 residential building lots in various stages of planning or development.

Communities under construction include Kellswater Bridge, a traditional neighborhood development, and Manchester Place. Others in various stages of planning include:

  • Riverpointe, a 825-lot development off of Shiloh Church Road in the western Cabarrus County growth area.

  • Millbrooke, a 128-lot subdivision on Trinity Church Road

  • Waterford on the Rocky River, a 263-lot subdivision planned for Shiloh Church Road and Jim Johnson Road in the western growth area.

  • Wellington Chase/Chestnut Ridge, a 235-lot subdivision between Odell School Road and Highway 73 in the western growth area.

  • Pelham Point, a 116-lot development at Highway 73 and Jim Johnson Road in the western growth area.

  • Shiloh Village, a 30-lot subdivision at Shiloh Church Road in western growth area.

  • Jacobs Ridge, a 27-lot development at the end of Stirewalt School Road in the western growth area. An estate sub-division, Jacob's Ridge follows the development of Pine Creek, an estate development of homes ranging in value from $700,000 to several million dollars on a minimum of one-acre lots. Seventeen lots have sold in two years. The development has attracted business executives from throughout the Charlotte region and NFL Carolina Panther players.

  • Trinity Crest, a 60-lot subdivision on Trinity Church Road with preliminary plan approval.
