The Charlotte Regional Partnership, the Economic Development
organization for the Charlotte Metro area that includes Kannapolis,

1,250 companies devoted to machine and machine parts manufacturing,
253 financial service firms- including the headquarters of Bank
of America and Wachovia - and 218 plastics manufacturers operating
across the region.
These industry clusters offer relocating or expanding
companies a talented workforce to draw from, and the low utility
rates, wages and distribution capabilities of the region strongly
support various manufacturing options.
