For six dates this summer, the Kannapolis Parks and Recreation Department will host a different concert at the beautiful Village Park Amphitheater.
**Venue Information**
Parking for outdoor concerts will be available at the outer parking lots along Dale Earnhardt Boulevard with free shuttles to Village Park. The Village Park parking lot will be reserved for handicap parking only (valid handicap placard or license plate required). Blankets, lawn chairs and picnics are permitted and concessions will be available. Please NO pets, alcohol, grilling or glass bottles.
In case of inclement weather, this series may be cancelled. To confirm the schedule or if you have any questions, please call us at 704-920-4343.

2010 Toyota of Concord Summer Event Series

The City of Kannapolis Parks and Recreation Department, in conjunction with the Cabarrus County Library - Kannapolis Branch, is excited to announce another, free Stories Under the Stars session as part of their summer events series. Join us on the patio at the Kannapolis Branch Library, 850 Mountain St., Kannapolis.
Come hear Chrys Edwards tell traditional stories through a gypsy's eyes.
The Kannapolis Fire Department offers free and low cost CPR courses on the fourth Saturday of every month. The one day course will be held from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Kannapolis Fire Station 1, 300 Firehouse Dr., Kannapolis. This program is free for residents and $3 for non-residents.
Participants will be taught adult, child and infant CPR as well as how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED). Each course will use American Heart Association curriculum and a test will be given at the end of the day for certification purposes.
Class size is limited to 25 participants and registration is required. Those interested can register by calling 704-920-4260, Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. When registering online, please advise which month you will be attending.
