Summer is just around the corner, and the Kannapolis Summer Events series is back. Toyota Scion of Concord has come on as our title sponsor this year, and we are very excited to have them. It is the support of our sponsors that makes it possible for the City to bring you free, family entertainment all summer long.
Music, movies and storytelling are back, including the annual Fourth of July concert with the Charlotte Symphony. Also back is Thursdays on Main, a lunch time concert series under the oaks at Veteran's Park. Every Thursday in May and June, it starts this week at 11:30 a.m. For more information, please click here.
For the summer line-up, visit the City website here.
As you may know, Kannapolis receives federal HUD funding each year through the CDBG and HOME Funds. We are currently seeking citizen feedback on our five year plan. For more information, please click here.
Check out the latest from Kannapolis City Manager Mike Legg here. You can also subscribe by email. For more information, contact Karen Whichard.
From now until June 5, the Rotary Express in Village Park is open on weekends. Hours are 10 a.m - 7 p.m. on Saturdays and noon until 6 p.m. on Sundays. Rides are $1.
Each quarter the City publishes a magazine with news and information about City events, departments, economic development and more. To subscribe, contact Karen Whichard.
