At its meeting last night, the Kannapolis City Council approved $56,000 for various local non-profits. The money comes from the City's CDBG budget, which is funded through the City's annual CDBG federal grant.
The Community Development Commission receives applications and makes the recommendation to Council on which non-profits to fund. This year they chose to focus on organizations that meet basic needs.

From now until June 5, the Rotary Express in Village Park is open on weekends. Hours are 10 a.m - 7 p.m. on Saturdays and noon until 6 p.m. on Sundays. Rides are $1.
