As Mayor of Kannapolis, it is a privilege to welcome you to our website. We are in the midst of an exciting and dynamic time for the city, one that will change the core industry of our downtown from textiles to biotechnology.

Kannapolis is a wonderful place to live, to work, and to raise a family. Our crime rate is low, our schools are outstanding, and there are many options for recreation. Most importantly, the people in Kannapolis are warm, friendly and caring.

During the next five years, the North Carolina Research Campus will be built. This is an incredible opportunity for Kannapolis, and as a city we are prepared to make sure we do everything we can to help the project continue to move forward.
